Meet Dr. Allison Thompson
Dr. Thompson is a South Carolina native who grew up in Fort Mill, SC a suburb of Charlotte, NC. Dr. Thompson completed her undergraduate studies at The College of Charleston and received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the Medical University of South Carolina.
After completing her residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry, Dr. Thompson got her Georgia dental license and moved to Atlanta to be with her husband, Kip. She has worked as an associate dentist for seven years in Brookhaven, but has decided to take the next steps in practice ownership. Dr. Thompson and Kip live in Brookhaven with their three year old twin daughters, Avery and Kaylan. When Dr. Thompson is not in the dental office, she loves spending time with her family and friends. She especially loves being outdoors, traveling, and going out to eat.

Marielle
Patient Coordinator
Meet Marielle! She is the voice you’ll hear when you call the office! Marielle has been in the dental field since 2010. Marielle is knowledgeable in many areas of dentistry. She has worked clinically, and in office management. She enjoys seeing patients have a good experience and building long-lasting relationships. In her spare time, Marielle enjoys long walks on the beach (LOL), traveling the world, going to concerts, and spending time with her Husband, Brandon and her 12 year old dachshund, Ryder.
Nicole
Dental Assistant
Nicole is a Florida Native, born and raised in Fort Lauderdale. She lived in Fayetteville, NC for 2 years where she then recently moved to Atlanta Georgia in January 2023. Nicole began her career in dentistry back in 2014 in Cooper City, Florida, where she mastered her skills and became passionate about dentistry. What Nicole loves most about dentistry is the connection she has with her patients and the ability to keep a smile on their face. On her spare time, she loves to hike and spend time with her family, but most importantly her dog Koda, who is 1 year old and is the cutest. Nicole loves being a Dog mom, but she also loves to take care of her patients.
Kareem
Dental Assistant
Kareem is a New Orleans native who recently moved to Atlanta, GA. He has always loved going to the dentist as a child, which has driven him to pursue a career in the dental field. Kareem earned his dental assisting certification from Unitech Training Academy in Metairie, LA.
Kareem has been a dental assistant for 7 years. Before continuing his dental career in Atlanta, Kareem was assisting in New Orleans for 5 years. While in the dental field, he has gained experience in both the front desk and back office. Kareem's favorite thing is seeing patients happy with the outcome of their new smile. In his leisure time, Kareem loves traveling, trying new food, and being the life of the party.
Makayla
Dental Hygienist
Makayla is a Georgia native born and raised in Decatur, GA. The year of 2017 she graduated from the prestigious school of Clayton State University, there she received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. Makayla has eight amazing years of experience as being a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH). Makayla has a passion for teaching and demonstrating how to maintain healthy oral habits and educating her patients about periodontal education and building lasting relationships with her patients. Makayla values quality time with her husband Gabriel and their three-year-old son; whether it's taking family vacations, going shopping, dining out, watching movies or just relaxing around the house.
Ashley
Dental Hygienist
Ashley is one of the hygienists here at BDS. She was raised in the small town of Pageland, SC. Ashley has lived in Atlanta for a little over 1 year and has been practicing as a hygienist for over 7 years. Her favorite thing about her job is making people feel more confident in their smile. In her spare time, she loves to model, shop, hang with friends and family, and attend concerts.
